Hi, I’m Kimberly — creator of Adornology101, longtime maker, storyteller, mom of two teen boys, and a woman who believes that beauty isn’t something we buy… it’s something we create.

Adornology101 was born from a simple idea:
Life becomes richer when we adorn the world around us — through creativity, nature, family, craftsmanship, and intentional living.

I’m not an expert gardener, a celebrity crafter, or someone who has everything perfectly curated. I’m a real woman with a full-time career, two active boys, a dog, sports tournaments every weekend, and a kitchen that always seems to need sweeping.

But I still believe deeply in making life beautiful — in big ways and small ones.

And that’s what you’ll find here.
🌱 From Jewelry Maker to Garden Maker

Before gardens and raised beds, my hands were always busy with something creative.

I used to design jewelry and still love the slow, meditative rhythm of knotting pearls by hand. I’m fascinated by stones, textures, craftsmanship — anything made with patience and intention.

As my life shifted into motherhood and a demanding marketing career, creativity looked different for a while. But recently, something called me back to making things again. This time, the medium was living and green.

So in 2024, I started my first organic fall garden.
13 rows, Texas sun, beginner mistakes, and so much joy.

It’s imperfect.
It’s honest.
And it has become one of the most grounding, beautiful parts of my life.

Outside the garden, I lead advertising for a national outdoor retail brand.
My world is full of data, creativity, strategy, and the constant challenge of growing something — not unlike gardening.

My career is busy, fulfilling, sometimes chaotic… and always evolving.
I share a bit of that here too — the working-mom juggle, the lessons learned, and the real behind-the-scenes of balancing ambition and motherhood.
